A coating machine is a process of applying a layer of specific functional adhesive, paint, or ink onto a rolled substrate, such as paper, cloth, leather, aluminum foil, plastic film, etc., and then drying it before winding it up.

The screen coating machine is equipped with a device that can clamp the screen frame on the vertical frame. The front and back of the screen area are horizontal coating mechanisms, which consist of coating grooves and mechanical or pneumatic components that control the angle and pressure of the coating grooves. The two ends of the coating mechanism are mounted on the vertical support arm of the coating machine, and the coating mechanism is driven up and down by a belt, chain, or cable to apply along the surface of the wire mesh. The transmission mechanism is connected to a servo or variable frequency motor to ensure smooth operation and control the position of the coating mechanism.

Before coating, install the clean and stretched screen from the front of the coating machine, and some models can also install the screen from the side. In models designed for large format mesh frames, side mounting is more common because the mesh frame is large and bulky, and side mounting can reduce lifting and movement. When the automatic screen coating machine is operated in conjunction with other automatic screen processing equipment such as cleaning equipment, regeneration equipment, drying devices, and developing machines, it is more convenient to install the plate from the side.

No matter how the screen is installed, once the screen is in the correct position, the pneumatic or mechanical clamping device will close and lock the screen. For the convenience of operation, many models have foot pedals to control the clamping action of the plate, allowing operators to free up their hands to control the screen. After installing the screen, pour the corresponding photosensitive emulsion into the automatic coating machine and start coating. According to the functions of the control system and equipment, the equipment can simultaneously coat both sides of the screen.

Suitable for the production of flexible substrates such as PVC/PE films

Simply put, it means applying glue onto a thin film. Specifically, it includes gluing, drying, winding, and tension control.

The film can be PVC, PE, PET, etc., or it can be some paper, such as coated with hot melt adhesive on release paper.
